Housed in the historic Jayford Ware house, the Clay Public Library is one of the newest libraries in Jefferson County, Alabama, opening in October of 2009. Funded primarily by the City of Clay with support from the Jefferson County Library Cooperative, the library currently holds over 9000 items, including bestseller fiction and non-fiction, children’s and teen books, books on CD, and a rapidly growing DVD collection that includes most new releases. We have a computer room with four public computers, and we offer free wireless Internet access. We offer programs and special events for both children and adults. Make plans to visit us soon! You might be surprised at what you find!
